Barcelona has received international recognition for its excellent public transport system.

The Barcelona Public Transport Organization, EMT (Entitat Metropolitana del Transport) runs an extensive and smooth operating Bus and Metro Network. It is a collaboration of 18 Municipalities in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.

Many Barcelona visitors think that the Aerobus (Express Airport Bus Service) is the only bus option from Barcelona Airport to the City Centre. However, the EMT also runs buses from both Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2):

Comparison

There are two things to consider: Price and Comfort

- The Aerobus runs on a more regular basis, offers more luggage space and stops fewer times on the way to Barcelona, therefore transfer times is shorter to and from the Airport.

- The Cost of the N17 journey and 46 line (single journey 1.35 euros) is considerably cheaper than the Aerobus (single journey 4.25 euros).

TIP. The T-10 ticket allows to reduce the EMT bus fare to 0.8 euro. It is a multi-person ticket with time limit that allows you to take unlimited Metro and Bus during 1h 15min. It offers 10 rides in zone 1, which basically covers the whole city.
