Express Shuttle to Barcelona center

Aerobus: The Barcelona Airport Express Bus

The Aerobus is the Barcelona Airport Express Shuttle Bus that takes people to and from the airport and the city centre.

The Barcelona Bus network has other buses available for transfer between the airport and centre. For example you can use the TMB Airport Bus Number 46 and the Night Bus N17 . These buses are cheaper, however they are slightly slower, less frequent and provide less space for luggage.

Barcelona has received international recognition for its excellent public transport system. The Barcelona public transport organization TMB runs the metro network and an extensive and smooth operating bus network.

There are 2 Aerobus lines for each Terminal and they look different:

- Aerobus A1 to Terminal 1 (T1) is light and dark blue.

- Aerobus A2 to Terminal 2 (T2) is blue with yellow trimmings with "Aerobus" written in yellow on the sides.

Make sure you are getting on the Aerobus that takes you to the right terminal. If you are not sure, ask the driver. Otherwise you can end up at the wrong terminal and spend 30 minutes more for transfer from one terminal to the other.

Here you have got a couple of links from the TMB website about Aerobus A1 and A2 prices, frequency and operating times.

Useful info

Which are the main stops?

The main bus stops in Barcelona city centre are at Plaza Catalunya and Plaza Espanya which are also Barcelona´s main transport hubs. At Barcelona Airport there are stops outside each of the terminals.

How long does it take?

Aerobus 1 from Plaza Catalunya takes approximately 40 minutes and from Plaza Espanya it’s about 25 minutes. Aerobus 2 takes 5 minutes more.

Important: Take into consideration that traffic may affect these times. So if you have a flight to catch, take some extra time in case of delays and maybe take an earlier bus to be on the safe side.

Is there an access for disabled people?

All Aerobuses provide a wide ramp to get onto the bus and an area for wheelchairs. The ramp is located at the bus’s second entrance – in the middle of the bus.
