Salou is a tourist resort south of Barcelona. It is located in a short distance (10 kilometres) from Tarragona, capital of the province.

There are two public transport options to Salou from Barcelona Airport:

- Coach (direct)

- RENFE Train (with a change of train at Barcelona Sants rail station).

By Coach

There is a coach that goes from Barcelona Airport to Salou: Empresa Plana.

From Monday to Friday there are five buses per day. On Saturdays there are three buses per day. On Sundays and Holidays there are four buses per day.

From the home page click on ‘Bus Timetable’. From here you will be taken to a page with a ‘Route Search’ – type in ‘Salou’ here. You will be given a large list of route options to choose from – choose the first route option from ‘Aeroport de Barcelona’.

It is possible to reserve a ticket prior to your arrival at the airport.

By Train

There are no direct trains from Barcelona Airport to Salou. Therefore, it is necessary to take a train to the centre of Barcelona to head out towards the south of Catalunya.

Take the Barcelona Airport Train – The C2 to Estacio Sants. If you are arriving into Terminal 1 (T1) you will not be able to walk straight to the train station, as it is 4km away. You will need to take a Shuttle bus from outside the Terminal.

At Estacio Sants you will need to change. There are many trains that run from Estacio Sants to Salou – some of them are regional and some are national. The trains vary in journey time – some stop many times in the way and some are direct.

By Taxi

The distance from Barcelona Airport to Salou is approximately 100 km. This will take about one hour twenty minutes in a taxi, costing around 90 euros.
